An Incident Response (IR) Retainer is an agreement that we make with our clients to be there when they have a data security breach or Incident. This allows our clients to plan for the worst and ensure that qualified experts are available to quickly investigate and help resolve cybersecurity incidents. Typically, an IR Retainer engagement with Ingalls will involve a Service Level Agreement (SLA) that includes guaranteed 24-hour response to any declared Incident, as well as a block of professional services hours to perform Incident Response Planning exercises annually.

Our IR Retainers include an IR Tabletop exercise that involves our client’s Executive Leadership Team, Legal, HR, IT, and other departments. The objective of a tabletop exercise is to test the Incident Response Plan against scenarios that Ingalls develops based on real-world experience. This Tabletop exercises are invaluable training for the entire organization that are designed to improve our clients’ ability to effectively respond to security incidents and minimize the impact of a breach.

We provide our clients with single- or multi-year dedicated IR Retainers. We also offer significant labor rate discounts for MDR clients, since having MDR deployed prior to any data security incident will dramatically reduce response and recovery times.
